Cancellation Policy

Reservation and Payment: Reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of the SIGNED contract and a $900.00 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per participant. Registration deadline is February 15 th, 2026 (or when full, only 6 participants), remaining non-refundable balance per participant is due March 15 th, 2026. In the event of a cancellation of this workshop, the amount paid (deposit or full amount) would be refunded to the participant. Activities: Every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule of activities However, we reserves the right to change it for reasons beyond our control (refer to Responsibility waiver). Retreat Price includes: Transportation from/to Lisieux (arriving May 18th pm or June 1st pm, leaving May 22nd am or June 5th am) You'll stay in a modernized 18th-century longère, reminiscent of a thatched cottage, on or near our small farm in Lower Normandy. for 4 nights All breakfast lunch and dinners Cooking lessons & French dessert/chocolate making by Shannon and Wlady (owners of La Châtelaine Chocolat Co.) Field trips to nearby medieval villages Retreat Price does not include: Airfare and travel to/from Lisieux, Lodging outside of the 4 nights, Personal expenses, optional activities, Passport fees, travel (or other) Insurance. Responsibility waiver: La Châtelaine Chocolat is responsible for the services provided. However, in the absence of negligence on their part, La Châtelaine Chocolat is not responsible for accidents, loss, detention, annoyance, sickness, loss of enjoyment, upset or disappointment, weather, delays and expenses arising from same; strikes, armed conflict, force majeure, failure of transportation to arrive or depart as scheduled, quarantines, disturbances, restrictions or regulations, discontinuance of advertised schedules, and other causes over which we have no control. All services are subject to the laws of the country in which they are rendered.
