Led by pastry and chocolate professionals, A Country Diary Workshop blends seasonal baking, chocolate making, preserving, journaling, and countryside observation into a four-day immersion in rural Normandy. Rather than simply visiting the French countryside, you'll spend a few days living within its rhythms—working with your hands, slowing your pace, and discovering how food and landscape shape one another.
Why Normandy
Normandy is one of France's most enchanting regions—a landscape of rolling green hills, apple orchards, forests, and centuries-old culinary traditions. It's home to Camembert, Calvados, cider farms, and villages where life still follows the seasons.
Your Handmade Country Diary
Every guest receives a handcrafted field journal filled with seasonal notes, blank pages, pressing papers, and space for recipes, sketches, and reflections. Throughout the workshop, it becomes a place to slow down, observe, and record the small details that often go unnoticed. A gentle invitation to put away your phone and rediscover the pleasure of seeing with your own eyes.

Your Country Diary Workshop experience begins when we welcome you at Lisieux train station and continues until we return you there at the end of your stay.

Getting Here
We recommend flying into Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). From Paris, travel to Gare Saint-Lazare, where you’ll take the train to Lisieux. The train journey is approximately 1 hour 30–45 minutes.
We’ll meet you at Lisieux station and drive you to La Pastorale Farm, approximately 30 minutes away.
Not included: Airfare and transportation from your home/origin to Lisieux, France.
